R@ndom People

R@ndom was born out of a group of individuals with great passion to play fun music and a positive outlook on their musical journey.

We’re all professionals, but not “professional” musicians. That means we all have full-time, professional careers: Psychotherapist, Certified Public Accountant, Director of Perioperative Services, and VP of Marketing. But we love playing music (plus we’re good at it) and entertaining audiences of any size; and, we’ll work together and be respectful of the staff at your venue or event.

Randa Matkin (Blowin' the Roof Off Lead Vocals)

Glass breakin' and soul shakin' vocals is the essence of Randa! Living her best life with family and friends, while falling in love with music, is her passion.

Travis Matkin (Bass & Vocals)
Laying down steady bass grooves and background vocals is where Travis feels at home. When he's not grooving and singing, he's cheering on the New Orlean Saints and Texas Rangers.

Chris Stephens (Guitar & Vocals)

Shredding the six string love of his life, Chris loves rockin' out with a crowd. You'd never know that he's the "metal head" of the group but watch out - he he can also rap with the best of them!

Dave Hawsey (Drums & Vocals)

Dave has been playing drums since the 6th grade (which was a LONG time ago)! Two things that haven't changed since he started playing are (1) he always plays barefoot and (2) knows he's had a great time playing when his arms are numb at the end of a show.
